Internet Explorer 7 Trusted Site Configuration for Blackboard

Follow these steps to add Blackboard to the list of trusted sites in Internet Explorer 7:

  1. Login to Blackboard.
  2. Double-click the Restricted Sites or the Internet icon globe on the Status Bar at the bottom of Internet Explorer. The Internet Security Properties box will open.

  3. Click on the Trusted Sites icon under the Select a zone to view or change security settings heading. Click Sites to open the Trusted Sites box.

  4. The URL for Blackboard should appear in the Add this website to the zone field. If not, enter the URL that is used to access Blackboard (http://bb-bloomu.sytec.passhe.edu).
  5. Uncheck the Require Server Verification (https:) for all sites in this zone option.
  6. Click Add.

  8. Click OK on the Internet Security Properties box.

If you are still having a problem accessing Blackboard after adding it as a Trusted Site, please do the following:

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Click Tools
  3. Click Interent Options

    4. Internet Options
  4. Under Browsing history, click Delete

    5. Delete cookies
  5. Click Delete cookies
  6. Click Yes in the warning box
  7. Click Close
  8. Click OK

Close Internet Explorer and restart the computer.
